Alive or Not??? The Investigation Begins

JOURNAL WORK

  • TITLE PAGE– The new title is Alive or Not? on page
  • BIG IDEA– Make sure everyone has the new BIG IDEA question in their journal in the middle of pages
  • OBSERVATION COMPARISONS
    • GROUP WORK: Students share AND discuss their outside observations from Friday where they listed things that were alive and things that were not. ASK:
      • Did I categorize my observations in the correct category?
      • What are the characteristics of something that is alive?
    • INPUT- Glue your observations on page        .
    • OUTPUT– Brainstorm and write with your group at the top of the page:
